Powerful result at the micro level
Microliter Centrifuges
Variety of models support a wide range of tube sizes and capacities – accessories support micro tubes, spin column kits, PCR strips, 15/50 ml conical, pediatric tubes and more. Range of models accommodates microliter tube capacity from 12 to 60 (1.5/2.0 ml). Bio-containment and phenol-resistant lids for safe centrifugation of hazardous samples are optional. Powerful, maintenance free motors achieve high RCF values for best sample results. Reliable and steady temperature control, quick pre-cool and stand-by cooling functions maintain a constant sample temperature.
Speed rates up to 18'000 RPM with RCF up to 31'540 accommodate a high number of samples to increase efficiency and throughput in your lab.
A variety of models and accessories support microliter tube quantities from 12 to 60 per run. Bio-containment and phenol-resistant lids for the safe centrifugation of hazardous samples are available.
Reliable and steady temperature control systems with quick pre-cool and stand-by functions come with precise temperature control. This is ideally suited for temperature sensitive samples in molecular biology and other R&D applications.
Microliter centrifuges are designed for processing very small samples at very high speeds. This is usually used for kits for isolating DNA and RNA. These steps are necessary in order to analyze the DNA and RNA or process them further for polymerase chain reaction (PCR).
Sealing certificates are available directly from us for all biocontainment rotors. The seal is tested and certified by an external institute (TÜV in Germany, for example) in accordance with the laboratory equipment standard EN 61010-2-020.
For some PCR protocols, filtration is prescribed where filter sleeves are centrifuged in 2-ml test tubes. The sample liquid that passes through the filter during the filtering/centrifuging procedure is collected in the 2-ml test tubes. A common problem frequently encountered is the fact that the caps of the test tubes no longer fit because of the filters, so the test tubes have to remain open during centrifugation. The caps are often tear off in such cases, or alternatively are cut off before centrifugation.
To avoid this and prevent the caps having to be cut off before centrifugation, the angle rotor for spin column kits has been designed so that the caps can be securely positioned in place. The caps neither tear off, nor is it necessary to cut them off.
