Optional bio-containment and phenol-resistant lids for safe centrifugation of hazardous samples are available. Moveable cabinets extend your bench space to provide extra storage and centrifuge portability.
HETTICH benchtop centrifuges specialize in variety. How is that? Because these centrifuges with their extensive accessories can be used for almost all standard applications. They are frequently used in clinical laboratories or food laboratories, for instance, or for agricultural purposes. The large capacity they offer, the option of cooling or heating the samples, and their higher speeds set them apart from small centrifuges.
The rotor chamber heats up during centrifugation due to air friction and heat from the motor. The longer or faster the centrifugation, the higher the temperature. Laboratory centrifuges have an air cooling system fitted as standard that removes heat from the rotor chamber. However, many samples are thermally labile and have to be processed within a certain temperature range. Laboratory centrifuges with a coolant circuit and a controlled cooling unit are suitable for such samples. The preferred centrifugation temperature can be set within a range of -20°C to +40°C, depending on the design of the device.
The actively heated centrifuge heats up quickly from room temperature to 90°C.
HETTICH offers three different cytodiagnostic systems. They can be used in the following centrifuges, depending on the system: ROTOFIX 32 A, UNIVERSAL 320 | R, ROTINA 380 | R, ROTINA 420 | R, ROTANTA 460 | R and ROTIXA 500 RS. Our cytology brochure provides a summary of these options.
In addition to providing our configurator, where you can put together your own customized combination, Hettich offers complete package sets. These centrifuge packages include everything you need for some of the most common applications. You'll find an overview of these packages here.
